Isaac Watts' hymn, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," is beloved by English-speaking Christians everywhere. Written in 1707, it beautifully encapsulates many of the big ideas about what God has done for us in the cross of Jesus and what our response to that should be. This quick message helps us to focus on it in view of our taking communion on Sundays.
